Warmer days in Oregon... Summer is on its way!!!
I have been enjoying warmer weather here out in Oregon!! I have been walking more and more outside!! Today I took my scooter up to the camp and read for and hour or so. It will be getting hot soon!! Friday I rode my bike up to the office to get my mail. It is about 2 miles up there!! I was thinking I am so glad I grew up in Lead because I am use to riding my bike up a hill. There is one hill that is pretty big to ride up. Yesterday I had to walk my bike up the hill a little ways!!
For my weekend I went to my friend Marrianne's house. She lives between Sisters and Bend. I walked a mile at her house!! She has an amazing view of the 3 Sisters Mountains!! She is a great friend, always pointing me back to the Lord!!
I came across the perfect verse for my journey of weight loss. I feel God has me on this journey! Isaiah 43:19 says, "Watch for new thing I am going to do. It is already happening. Don't you see it.. I will make a road in the desert. I will make a river in the dry land."
I am excited to see what God is going to do for me!! He so good!!
Taking a break on my walk at Marrianne's house!! Love Marrianne's house!!! No kangaroos though!! I am not up to a canter yet!! Maybe someday!! :)
Andy and his friends enjoying the beautiful Oregon sunshine!!
Not sure which sheep this was, but all she wanted is to be petted.
Marrianne's dog is so sweet!! I love her!! She was being so funny I was trying to take a picture with her, but she wouldn't hold her head up at the camera!!
3 Sisters Oregon. View at Marrianne's house!!!
I have lost 17 lbs this week!! woo-hoo!!
Went to Apple-bees for our Birthday lunch (we all share a birthday week!) Nolan posing in Mom's sunglasses!!

I have reached a new milestone!! I have walked 1.5 miles!! I have done this twice. Once walking to Creekside and yesterday on the treadmill. It took me 52 minutes on the treadmill. I am almost half way to a 5k!!
I have lost 15 lbs since I started keeping track in January. My friend told me the other day that this is the straightest she seen me walk and stand up since she known me in 6 year!! I have started to eat less carbs during my day. I found an egg casserole recipe online that I made the other day. I realize that working out is important for me to do It nice to feel so good!! It also nice to hear my friends tell me that my disability is less noticeable. Never thought I here that!! I have the most wonderful friends!!
Took this picture today to document my 15lbs!! Going to my friend's Marrianne house tomorrow. She lives in between Sisters and Bend and has a great view of the mountains, so I will take a picture there too!!
My step-mom and dad took the grand kids to Walt Disney World a couple weeks ago. I asked them to buy me a coffee mug. I got this in mail today for my birthday!!

My new morning routine
I have started a new routine in the mornings! My friend, Tandy and I have started to go work out at the Sport Center at 7:00 am. Now I am not a morning person, but I like getting it done and then having the rest of my day to do other things. Our gym just got exercise equipment donated to us. Before the gym had a couple of things, but the either didn't work, or were free weights, which I don't like. Now they have some new treadmills and weight machines. I like to do the treadmill. I am trying to work my way up to walking 5k!!
Yesterday I found a new egg casserole recipe that I made. It is pretty good!! I been eating alot of eggs for breakfast!! They are alot easier and faster then I thought!!
I got a letter in the mail from my sponsor "daughter" in Africa last week, she wrote, Isaiah 43:19 "Watch for the new thing I am going to do. It is already happening. Don't you see it. I will make a river in the dry land." This verse really spoke to me. It crazy how God uses a girl in Africa to speak to you. God is defiantly doing a new thing in me. I feel amazing!! I am learning the importance of taking care of myself, especially having a disability. My friends have been telling me how much better I look and walking so much better. They said that you can't even tell I have CP. Which is very encouraging!!

A New Me In 2013
After going to see a specialist Dr for pain in my ankle, I was told I needed to lose weight. I knew this about myself but 1. didn't care and 2. LOVE sweets to much. But my Dr recommended that I go see a dietician. I went to the dietician with a open mind and an open heart. She suggested that I eat as a diabetic would, by counting my carbs. So that what I did!! Th great thing is I can still have sweets, but just in moderation, which before I was not doing in moderation!!
My Dr. also wanted me to start exercising more. He told me needed to bike 30 minutes a day. So I started to put my stationery bike to use and now up to 30 plus minutes a day. I have decided that I want to try to walk a 5k. After getting advice of if I could do it from a PT friend, I have set a new goal for myself! I am up to walking a 1.2 miles almost half way there!! I also have bought a workout video which is easy enough for me to use, but still gets a workout!!
I started all this in January and have lost 14lbs in the process!! I am hoping to do the 5k sometime next year down in Reno with my friends that live there!!
