Fall on it way... I think!!!

It been awhile since I posted.  I went to Megan's wedding in August.  It was so fun!  It was at Lake Okoboji in Iowa.  It is a great vacation in Iowa!!  Who Knew!!!!  Most of my family came, everybody but my dad's brother/wife and mom's sister/husband.  Brooke got to be there from Japan!!  It been 5 years since I seen her!!!  We rented a couple boats a couple days, the kids Loved it!!  I LOVED seeing the kids!!!!  Brittany moved to Houston the week after the  wedding, so it good to see her and the  kids before the big move!!  I can't wait to get down there to see them!!  I love to go to new places!!  Everybody was shocked at the new me!

Camper have all left at the end of August, so now we are in our Fall season.  The weather still thinks it is August.  My little apartment has been so HOT!  I try not to complain but I am ready for some cooler weather!!  I am hoping to buy a 3 wheel bike in October.  After all my falls, I think it will be good investment!  In Iowa, I took a major fall and ended up in the ER with 3 stitches in my chin, but my neck was fine!!

I am still working on my weight.  Now it trying to maintain my weight.  I still want to try to walk a 5k in the spring.  I need to work back up from my fall in May.  I been going to the gym and doing the treadmill.  My friend teaches Zumba in town, so last week I went to class with her.  I did almost the whole hour without sitting down.

 I have been on my weight lost journey for 7 months now.  In those 7 months I have lost 29 lbs!  I leave for Megan's wedding in ten days, so I am hoping to lose one more pound before her wedding.  My friend realized that my braces are to big for me.  I am excited for my family to see me!  I guess it kind of like being away on the Biggest Loser, but they get to see pictures of me, and I don't have Juillian or Bob yelling in my ear!  And I did it all on my own!!  I am going to see my nutritionist on on Wednesday so it will be fun to see how much I have lost since I seen her in 6 weeks!  

Not a lot else been going on here.  It been very hot in July, but we are grateful for the campers to come out and here about Jesus!  

I bought this shirt last week to take with me to Iowa!  I was so excited because it is a medium!

I went to the Neck and Spine Dr last week.  He said my fracture isn't as bad as they thought.  I have to wear the neck brace for 2 more weeks, but not at night, which is awesome because I can sleep comfortably.  I am in little pain and back to work!!  I been able to ride my stationary bike and go for little walks with my walker.  Yesterday I went to see my nutritionist, who I see every 6 weeks.  She weighed me and I officially lost 20 lbs.  She is very impressed with my work!!  I am back at riding my stationary bike!!

Last weekend at camp Brandon Heath (a famous Christian singer] was here as the worship leader for the camp.  He did a little concert on Saturday night.   After the concert, I had the chance to meet Brandon.  He is very sweet!!  On Sunday He and his friends had a camp tour so they came down to see Mark 2.  He told me that the highlight of his weekend was meeting me!  Wow!!!!

The Year of the Doctor!!

I was so excited because at the end of May I was going to be done with Dr appointments for awhile, but I guess that won't be happening.  Last Thursday, after walking on the treadmill for 2 miles, I got off and fell down right away.  I landed on my hands and knees.  I didn't think I hit my neck, but it was very sore after the weekend.  I went to my pain Dr on Monday.  After 2 hours and 4 x-rays later, they found a fracture in my neck right below the skull.  So now I GET to wear a neck brace for 6 weeks!!  I will go see a spine and brain Dr. next Wednesday to make sure my spines ok!  Which I believe it is, but just to be on the safe side!!
I have to learn to be more careful and take my time!  My body does not bounce back after a fall, like it use to!!!But on the bright side I have lost 20 lbs!!  I am being careful not to gain it back, while I recovery!!..My Dr. said I could still ride my stationary bike and walk a little bit.  I glad that I already had a pain specialist to go to!  God really blessed me and had me go to the right Dr.  I also really glad that I went to nutritionist so I know how I can be watching my weight and nutrition as I recover!!  I been sleeping in my recliner, which I got when I broke my ribs last summer!!I also have really good friends that are taking care of me!!

We went to Black Bear Dinner after being at the Dr office for 2 hours!  At least I can have a smile on my face.  I actually been laughing at myself, because I can't believe I did this!!

Muddy Road is 12 miles into camp.  It is a very rough road.  We do not have cell service because of our location we have an emergency phone along the way!!  I have not needed to use it yet!!

Every year we celebrate Cinco Da Mayo, by having a chip and salsa party!!  Former staff, Tim and Leah started the tradition, and Mark 2 is keeping the tradition.  We decided to have a going away party for Joe and Kate, who are moving back to Wisconsin to be closer to family.  The Cinco Da Mayo Party was were we did my scooter fundraiser a couple years back!!

20 going on 30!!! Pounds that is!!!

Well Since January I have lost 20 pounds!  I can't believe it!  I  been walking every day.  Yesterday and today I went swimming with some friends.  We go at 6:00 am, bright and early!!

Yesterday I went up to the Reservoir to get out of the house and read but I was too hot to be there a long time.  I forgot to take my lawn chair so I couldn't sit in the shade!!

We are in NEED of water for the camp.  Our water levels are very low!!

I took some pictures on my walk today!!  My Ipod broke so I didn't have my music!  :(  It was so hot!  I tried to take pictures of my progress!!  It worked better in the shade

I decided I needed a better background instead of the old Rajeesh condo.  I thought Bri, You have the AGL Building across the street, Much better background!!  It hard to take pictures of yourself by yourself!!

I thought I would take a picture of how we get gas at camp.   WE are very blessed to have a gas tank here at camp.  The nearest Gas Station  50 miles in Madras!!  The funny thing about this picture is when I got home I was looking for my camera, I drove back up to the gas tank, thing I drop it, it was sitting on the back of my car.  Good thing I didn't go very far!!

Today was the hottest day yet.  Summer is on it way!!  I will have to start walking in the morning!!  It was 88 in the shade!!  Campers will be here before we know it!!

Down 17 pounds!!

Warmer days in Oregon... Summer is on its way!!!

I have been enjoying warmer weather here out in Oregon!!  I have been walking more and more outside!!  Today I took my scooter up to the camp and read for and hour or so. It will be getting hot soon!!  Friday I rode my bike up to the office to get my mail.  It is about 2 miles up there!!  I was thinking I am so glad I grew up in Lead because I am use to riding my bike up a hill.  There is one hill that is pretty big to ride up.  Yesterday I had to walk my bike up the hill a little ways!! 
For my weekend I went to my friend Marrianne's house.  She lives between Sisters and Bend.  I walked a mile at her house!!  She has an amazing view of the 3 Sisters Mountains!!  She is a great friend, always pointing me back to the Lord!! 
I came across the perfect verse for my journey of weight loss.   I feel God has me on this journey!  Isaiah 43:19 says, "Watch for new thing I am going to do.  It is already happening.  Don't you see it..  I will make a road in the desert.  I will make a river in the dry land." 
I am excited to see what God is going to do for me!!  He so good!!
