Last week I went to Dallas TX for 7 days to visit my college roommate Katie and her family. I flew in on |Tuesday night. We had to stop at Chic Fila!! All my southern roommates tell me how great Chic Fila is, so I couldn't go to Dallas with out stopping there. On Wednesday and Thursday I stayed at her home and rested while they went to work. Then on Friday I went to school with Katie, who is a 4th grade teacher. I spoke with the 4th and 5th graders, then the 2nd and 3rd graders about having a disability. I told them that if they meet someone who is different, that they need to treat them how they want to be treated. I also told them about Ski For Light. They were very interest in that. I showed them pictures of people skiing at Terry Peak. They asked me if anybody ever fell off the chair lift. I also told them that I have a twin sister. They asked if she talks like me. I told them about my CP and how I got it and that my sister didn't, bit that I am just the same as her and as them. The 2nd and 3rd graders where more interested in my dog, Hannah, and how she died, them about skiing!!
Also on Friday night we drove to a mall and went to the Rainforest Cafe. It was very fun. Saturday we went to Kaite's parent house. They just moved down there that day. It was so great to see all of her family.
On Sunday we went to church in Wylie TX. It was such a great service!!

Summer

This summer was a little different with the new Creakside Camp opening. I really thought it was going to be a crazy summer with 2 camps, but it was not to bad for us down here at Mark 2. On July 11 we all headed about and hour and a half over to a town called Maupin and went White Water Rafting!!! There is a great company over there that donates a trip to us every year. This year we had 3 boats in our group. Towards the end of the trip 2 of the guys in my boat fell out of the boat!! A little scary!! In May we had a fundraiser to help get me a scooter. I been loving my scooter, it is such a big help. Now I can go on walk with friends!! I LOVE it!!!
The new Creekside camp have 5 waterslides. It really awesome to have a waterslide park in my back yard. I spent lots of my weekends there. There is only one that I really do not like. It is enclosed all the way to the bottom. come visit me!!
This last week was the end of YL summer camping. The last night, Wednesday, we had a big lighting storm, and it started a bunch of fires on the property. Lucky we have a great team of firefighter, who have been out there fighting the fires. It kind of dead around camp, not a lot to do, because camps go canceled for the weekend. A lot of girl hang out time, while the husbands are out there. Last night I went up the hill to watch the fire, with a bunch of my mom friends and there kids!! Today we are taking the ladies to Bend, because there is not a lot of work to do around here!!!!
This week I leave for Dallas TX to see Katie Dill!! I will be there for 7 days. A much needed Vacation!!
