Harvest season!!

It is already November 4th! Where has the time gone too!! October was a busy month for us at Mark 2. I went on vacation down to Bend. I spent a lot of time reading, hanging out with my friend, Marianne, and catching up on the first season of Glee!! When I got back to the canyon we went into full force of harvest time. We spent a day a the pumpkin patch. We also had a Harvest party here at the camp. All the little kids get to dress up in their Halloween costumes. And of course, we had trick or treaters Halloween night, where I became Grandma Bri. (more pictures to come!] During all the Halloween fest, we also all piled into two cars and went up to Portland for a Mark 2 benefit, to only come back and kick off Work and Worship weekend. To say the least there is never a dull moment in the canyon!!!!
In two weeks from today I will be flying to SD for Thanksgiving, and to also treat myself to a Beth Moore conference with my friend Shawna. I am really looking forward to see everyone in
SD, but mostly the kiddos!!!





This summer we went to a horse ranch that adopts abused horses and pairs them with children that are abused. You can take tours there, and the lady that runs it is pretty amazing herself!!

Summer is Over

Summer was very busy once again. This summer was not as eventful as last summer with fires and flu. We got some new staff members, which I love. Natalee is from Georgia, and Lauren is Virgina. We have now started to support 3 men here at Mark 2. This summer we spent a lot of time down at the river here on the Property. I love to go down to the river and read. Last week there was a sighting of a cougar, so I wont be going down there for awhile.
Now that fall has set in, it does not feel so crazy! I have a break coming up in October. Even though I wont be going anywhere, I will be going down to Bend, about two hours away. There is a great lady that open up her home to People at camp, to come and relax. Then I will be going to SD in November, for Thanksgiving and also a Beth Moore confernce with a friend from high school. I have not been to SD in 2 years, so I really excited to see the kiddos!!!
